Partners Kosova Center for Conflict Management, with a new acronym (here and after “Partners K”), belongs to Partners Global (former Partners for Democratic Change International) Partners Network of the 20 independent local organizations in Europe, the Americas, Africa, and the Middle East.
Founded in 2001, “Partners K” is a local NGO working to advance civil society, good governance, and a culture of change and conflict management in Kosovo, EU. Further. Initially was International locally. managed NGO. Since 9 March 2020 “Partners K” is registered as a local legal NGO – fully localized. Its excellent expert team remains the same local staff of four (4) employees and (3) external trainers/consultants, will continue to usefully implement its complex programs – Mediation, Women and Youth Leadership, Local Government Initiatives, Community Development, and Sustainable Integration, Transitional Justice and Preventing and Countering Violent Extremism(P/CVE) Program.
The Center staff, both internal and external are well-trained trainers/ Experts, with great expertise in Centers programs to carry out projects, also supported with international credentials, as mediators/ trainers in mediation/ ADR, in Human Rights, Gender Equality, Transitional Justice, and P/CVE, and other Collaborative processes. “Partners K.”, through its Center programs, has provided training to thousands of individuals, representatives of NGOs and GOs in conflict management, collaborative processes, NGO-government cooperation locally and internationally, ethnic integration and interethnic cooperative planning, leadership skills for women and youth, human rights, anti-discrimination, and sexual harassment in working places, networking, and coalition buildings, preventing and countering violent extremism through peace and reconciliation, as well as cooperative advocacy training skills. Thanks to different donors’ support, “Partners K” has also implemented many different projects related to its programs, including the grant schemes projects, disbursing around 1 million € in supporting its Project’s direct beneficiaries, ranging from local house economy to support for Agricultural project and Small and Medium Enterprises, developing and building complementary skills for community sustainable integration initiatives throughout Kosovo wide.
With decreasing of global safety and security because of violent extremism activities as global phenomenon spreading to Kosovo too, “Partners K” has actively engaged in Preventing and Countering Violent Extremism (P/CVE) activities through its projects, not only in Kosovo but in the region of Western Balkans, and beyond. Since 2016 “Partners K” through its P/CVE several projects and non-project activities managed to work with different stakeholders groups and beneficiaries, locally and internationally. “Partners K” has extended its contribution to regional countries by working side by side with partner organizations in establishing a national and regional hub for CSO’s working on P/CVE See below projects:
