Preventing and Countering Violent Extremism projects

Also, the Preventing and Countering Violent extremism projects, that Partners has implemented in cooperation with various actors, local and international, as well as the current ongoing activities within Regional project, Our intention in this program is awareness and engagement of young people and the community in general for the prevention and countering of violent extremism, between various activities, in cooperation with local and international institutions.

Strengthening Credible Voices through Trust Building

Partners Kosova, lately during its PVE recent project implementation found out that the Violent Extremism activities are being spread also in the Kosovo municipalities, where CVE stakeholders considered that ISIS had no influence, thus decide to come -up with new project proposal, an innovative interactive and inclusive approach, including “Mobilization knowledge and skills training”  to countering new ways of radicalization attempts  spread under the surface in Gjakova and Podujeva municipalities.  This project will last 6 months. The result of this project will be implementation of the activities in 4 Secondary schools in Gjakova and 3 in Secondary schools on Podujeva municipality. From the abovementioned project activities will benefit 140 school students. The goal of the project was: To Increase the overall knowledge on the consequences of Religious Radical Activities through an innovative interactive and inclusive approach, including “Mobilization knowledge and skills training” to countering new ways of radicalization attempts spread under the surface. This goal was achieved by pursuing the objectives: Objective 1:  Increasing awareness among students how to chose a better alternative for open communication by promoting  two-way communication in school—telling the community that their voices are important, and aiming to dissuade vulnerable youth groups from joining violent extremist organizations.  Objective 2:  To build essential knowledge among high school students on the consequences of Radicalization and the use of violent acts, but also to raise awareness on critical thinking – difference between traditional and radical religions practices.

Project Activities: 1. Information meetings with different stakeholders, 2. Secondary School students’ workshops, 3.   Round -table event and 4. Delivery of brochures.

Youth Public Engagement with Peace and Reconciliation to Counter Intolerance and Radicalization

This project was implemented in 5 Kosovo municipalities: Mitrovica, Vushtrri, Gjilan, Viti and Kacanik. Financed by US Embassy in Kosovo.

Project goal was: To Increase the overall knowledge on the consequences of Religious Radical Activities and ways to prevent it. This goal was achieved by pursuing the objectives: Objective 1:  Increase overall understanding on the effects of radicalism in the Society, through public debates with different stakeholders; Objective 2: To build essential knowledge among high school students on the consequences of Radicalization and the use of violent acts, but also to raise aware awareness on critical thinking – difference between traditional and radical religions practices; Objective 3: Increase overall population awareness on the radicalism phenomenon through Radio Talk Shows, and Digital Marketing.

Women Empowerment through Increased Awarenes on Inharitance Proporty rights (2016 -2017)

Allthough the goal of the project was raising awareness and knowledge among women and their families and the community as a whole , about the existence of laws on equal rights of inheritance and property rights of women in Kosovo.This project implemented in :Kaçanik ,Hani Elezit ,Shtime and Suhareka

Specific objectives:

-Raising awareness of men women, girls, young people through information about women’s rights and gender equality, under the legislation applicable in Kosovo, with a focus on the right to participate in the division of property and inheritance.

-Awareness of men, women, girls and their families, for the  implementation of these rights by women and girls through gender-sensitive advocacy campaign for the proper implementation of the relevant laws in force, and continuous aid to the realization of their rights in registering property or their inheritance.

 Outcomes of the project:

-Enhancing information and awareness of Community for property and inheritance rights through delivering the brochures prepared by PK, during the realization of project activities.

-Raise awareness of men, women, girls and their families, for existing of these rights and Laws also for the woman through two-day workshops.

-Raise awareness of representatives of local authorities (Free Legal Aid Agency, Basic Courts, Notary, Directorate for Geodesy and Cadastre, Registration office representatives, Gender Equality and Human Rights office, about their responsibilities on implementing Property and Inheritance Law through joint Meetings

-Enhancing awareness of the public through the Face Book page “PK – Të drejtat e grave në pronë dhe trashëgim” posting credible written messages and information about Property and inheritance rights/articles from the proper Laws, by Partners Kosova

“Woman Empowerment through Increased Awareness on Property and Inheritance Rights”

From 2014 – 2017, PK has implemented several projects on Property and inheritance rights of women, financed by Kosovo Women Network and the US Embassy in Prishtina. The aim of these projects was to raise the awareness among man and women in Kosovo on the existence of property and inheritance laws and the legal institutions, available for legal assistance on how women can realize their property and inheritance rights.
